There are six major projects that will be completed by each student. Each assignment gives students experience in thinking in three dimensions, being introduced to new tools, practicing old ones, understanding and hands on experiences with a variety of applications, while thinking outside the box and honing their own conceptual skills.

Using the 200 year anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein students and professor produced up cycled works in response to the Frankenstein narrative. Through experimentation with various discovered materials and process, students respond directly to the horror of global warming by creating alternatives via the ‘throw away.’ Fractions looks at such horrific changes in our environment and using data from scientific research, presents new alternatives to our throwaway culture.
